After two days of dragging my bloat-load of bike and gear to the13,114' summit of Imogene Pass (and half a day of bouncing slowly down the other side), I arrived at the bicycle nirvana of Telluride. Bikes of all kinds everywhere. Actually being ridden by all kinds of people. Beautiful setting. Carefully nurtured and marketet historic buildings. Great bike trails on the edge of town. I might have stayed, but I didn't seem able to break through the thick crust of money that coated the town.
